Life On Trail Bootcamp
Welcome to Life On Trails Bootcamp – 6 Days That Make You Self-Reliant in the Himalayas.
This is not a guided trek where someone else pitches your tent and decides the route. This is a field school where you learn to think like a Himalayan hiker.
Over 6 days in our basecamp in Manali, you will learn by doing – theory in the morning, boots on the ground in the afternoon:
You will learn to:
Navigate when there is no trail – Read topography, contour lines, and SOI maps. Navigate through forests, meadows.
Choose your own home for the night – How to spot a safe campsite, find a water source, and read the mountain for weather.
Survive and thrive – Manage food, hydration, and the right season, not just the popular season.
Understand the mountain – Wildlife safety, Himalayan cultures, and why the right gear matters more than the most expensive gear.
Leave a trail for others – Explore unmapped trails and learn to map them, so fellow hikers can follow.
You will plan and execute your own multi-day hike. No guide in front of you. You will make the decisions. You will make the mistakes. And you will learn what independent, alpine-style hiking actually feels like.
After 6 days, you don’t just get a certificate. You join the Life On Trails community – a tribe of independent hikers who team up, share trail intel, and explore together.
The Himalayas are waiting. Are you ready to find your own way?
